Partnership with home is a really important to us, since parents are the first educators of their child in the faith. Children receive half-termly RE Homework projects, so that parents are involved in their child's religious education. Parents and families are invited into school frequently to share in class and whole-school liturgies, weekly Mass, concerts, carol services, nativities and Stations of the Cross, as well as regular fundraising events. Below are some other initiatives that families are involved in to support our Catholic Life:

Advent Family Pack

During the important season of Advent, we encouraged families to prepare for Christmas by thinking about the true meaning of the season. All children made a Bambinelli (a clay baby Jesus) which they took home after they had been blessed by Fr Anton during Mass on Thursday 21st December.

Prayer Bear

To develop our children's prayer life at home, children in Reception class get the chance to take Prayer Bear home. Prayer Bear encourages children and parents to pray together in a variety of different, creative ways, and journal these prayer experiences as a family, to be shared with the class on Prayer Bear's return.

Prayer Bags

All children have the opportunity to take home a class prayer bag weekly, wtih a specific focus on sacramental preparation. Year 3's Prayer Bag enables children and their families to reflect upon the significance of the Holy Eucharist as thanksgiving to God. In Year 5, the prayer bays encourage children to think specifically about the life and inspiration of the saints, in preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Autumn term of Year 6.  The prayer bags in Nursery, Years 1, 2, 4 and 6 are more generic, encouraging different ways of praying together as a family.
