Day for Ukraine
On Thursday 7th April, we fund-raised for the Disasters Emergency Committee in support for the crisis in Ukraine. We all wore blue and yellow, and our Mini-Vinnies sold badges made by one of our parents, and blue and yellow cakes made by another of our families. We raised a total of £406.61.
We also collected items needed to support Ukrainian refugees and worked with KMF and Newcastle Town football Club to donate many items of need. These were then sent off to both Slovakia and Poland. Thank you so much to our very generous families for all that you have given, and to Gareth and KMF for transporting the goods. The photos below show our items being shipped off with other local donations given to KMF, which arrived at the Red Cross in Slovakia a few days later.
